This needlebook was created using a drawn thread technique on evenweave linen, worked in filament silk. The back band is inkle weaving – the first inkle band I ever wove (woven on a cardboard box with chopsticks!). The pages are nice, thick heavy wool to hold the threads in, and are blanket stitched around the edges to keep from fraying. The motif on the front, the blue stag, is my personal badge.
